Understanding Home Care
Home care is more than assistance. It’s independence, safety, and peace of mind for your loved one. Learn how CogniHealth’s personalized care approach supports every stage of aging and recovery.
What Home Care Means
Home care services are non-medical services and assistance provided by a Registered Home Care Aide to individuals who, because of advanced age or physical or mental disability, need help with daily activities.
Services can include: bathing, exercising, making telephone calls, meal planning and preparation, dressing, positioning, transferring, ambulating, feeding, companionship, housekeeping, laundry, personal hygiene and grooming, transportation, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and incontinence care, assisting with medication that the client self-administers, correspondence, medication reminders and other daily activities.
